I am a modern girl, in a techie world.(Not to be confused with a Barbie girl in a Barbie world.) My career experience ranges from hotels, Disney World, events, law, and now, the technology industry. I am interested in many different things. I love musical theatre, art, singing, Gossip Girl, fashion accessories, creative writing, blogging, coding, and Tiffany Blue. How one goes from wearing a tiara and a ball gown in the Magic Kingdom of Orlando, to being part of a movement to inspire kids to code is beyond me. But I like it, a lot.

 I cannot think of a more worthy organisation and cause to be a part of. It is absolutely true that the children are our future, and the future of our world is driven by technology. So it only makes sense that these two should be combined. Kids that can code, ta-da! Genius. Now, to only break through the barrier of stereotypes. A "techie" person is no longer the office IT guy. They are no longer a pale 30 year old man that lives in his mother's basement. They are no longer the guy that spends all of his life absorbed in his avatar on World of Warcraft. They do not all wear glasses. They are not the scrawny kid that was picked last for dodgeball. They are not shy. They do not all think numerically.

These "techies" are creative. They are social butterflies. They are athletes. They are musicians. They are celebrities. They are girls. They are kids. And most importantly, they are an integral part of bettering our world for the next generation.
